二 你说的不够完整,应该是have less to do with...than...,意思:与...的联系不如...紧密

fail可以这样用：
George failed history last semester.意思是乔治上学期历史考试不及格。
注意fail后面没有用介词。
2.have less to do with 与。。。没有什么关系
类似还有have nothing to do with 与。。。毫无关系
i have nothing to do with his failure.他的失败跟我没有任何关系。
1.be week in / be not good at
2..have less to do with...意思是"与...没关系"
你说的那个"be fail in..."不可以用在这里
1. be weak in, be poor in,
be fail in是失败的意思吧。
2. 与……关系小一些。
be weak/poor in... 或do badly in...
和...没有什么关系
