但是——学校帮我们订的《英语周报》有
专项联系时，我发现有这样一道题，老师也无法解决。

对不起，只记住这关键的部分
选项中有other/more/another/the other
后来发下另一期发现是选anther
为什么呢？
不是说another+ n单数么？是特殊用法么？
还是报纸印错。？

在此，可以作为特例来看待。
假定，前面的句子是：
Please get on the boat in groups of three (三人一组).

another (group of) three people 这是作为一个整体了，所以可以当作单数.

这里的用法应该是正确的
Other明显不行,没有直接OTHER+名词的用法(我是指初中,其实老外的口语里很多)
MORE 应该是Three more people
其实我觉的Another 和The other都行,another感觉更好

答案没错。
猜测原题上文应该提到过人们的room是按三人分组使用的，所以这里把三个人作为一个组合来对待，是单数（another three people=another group of three people）。comax 说的对，在这里用the other 在语法上也没问题，但如果原题上文中没有特别指出是讲某一个三人组合，则这里就不能选 the other，只能选another.

another+ 数字+复数名词，表另外的人事物。
three people 这是作为一个整体了，所以可以当作单数
这就好像food不可数，但表示几种食物放一起时就可数了，要视具体情况而定
