第一,在句首一般用whether ,而不用if ;第二, 与or not 连用要用whether, 比如,Idon't know whether he will come or not; 第三,介词后要用whether,比如 Everthing depends on how well you agree with us. 第四,不定式后一定用whether

如果句子后面出现or就必须用whether，其他时候可通用
