大家好,我是日语生,选了一门市场营销课,老师给我们的作业都是英文的,好为难我呀,希望大家能帮我翻译翻译,感激大家:),,,对学英语者来说可能都是很简单吧.
1.S. Truett Cathy entered the restaurant business in 1943. In 1964 he introduced his first Chick-fil-A sandwich. By 2001, he owned 918 Chick-fil-A restaurants in 35 states and South Africa. Cathy was never the type of entrepreneur who wanted to run an idea up the flagpole and see who saluted it. He does not open a new restaurant unless he is convinced the enterprise will be a success. He will not consider taking the company public even though it would be worth an estimated three-quarters of a billion dollars. Cathy’s philosophy is, “We started Chick-fil-A, we built it, and we own it. Yes, we have thousands of allies, friends, partners, and employees. But if we want to maintain the quality, the integrity, and the whole culture of our company, we’ve got to own it.”

2.Angela Sidlo of Seaside, Oregon, made herbed pastas, which she carried to potluck suppers in the area. When people raved over the noodles, she began making them and selling Premier Pasta in 1995. Sidlo had to move out of her kitchen and into a small manufacturing plant. Six years later, Premier Pasta sold more than 15,000 pounds of noodles, including Basil Garlic, Parmesan Chives, Tomato Basil, Lemon Dill, Spicy Cajun, and Whole Wheat Fettuccines. Although Sidlo published a brochure that describes her products, Premier Pasta primarily uses word-of-mouth advertising. The product is distributed through a small store at the manufacturing plant and at the farmers’ markets that display her brochures.
