Last week, Mrs Black went to London. She didn’t know London very well, and she lost her way. Suddenly she saw a man near a bus stop. She went up to the man and said, “Excuse me! Can you tell me the way to the hospital, please?” The man smiled. He didn’t know English! He came from Germany. But then he put his hand into his pocket, and took out an English dictionary. He looked up some words. Then he said slowly, “I’m sorry I can’t understand you.”

It was a cold winter day in 1919. A small boy was walking along the street in London. His name was Tom. He was very hungry. He wanted to buy some bread, but he had no money. What could he do? When he was very young, he wanted to be a great man in the world of films. So he worked to sing and dance well. Thirty years later, the boy became one of the famous people in the world.

A boy walked on the beach casually while his tiptoe stepped on a coin, he lowed his head and found that it is a cent--a cent, so worthless and small, could buy nothing in the world. So he just sent the little coin to the boundless wave of the sea with a swift kick. Later, there uprised a castle from the sea. The boy was astonished by the scene happened before his unbeliveing eyes. This is a beautiful castle, people are very mild and warm-hearted. There in the castle he met a little girl, they got along quite well and talked very much. The girl told the boy about the things happened in the castle , she even served him with the apple pie and yummy candy. Time passed quickly, soon the darkness approched. The waves became to surge high and black clouds came down bringing the strong wind and heavy rain. The castle was going to fade away in the sea. "Do you have a coin for one cent? only one cent could rescue us", said the little girl fretfully,"This is a city which was cursed 500 years ago, and only emerge on the sea every 100 years, one coin, if you have one coin......" The young boy felt so helpless that he even lost his mind, a coin, he searched all his pockets but in vain, what he could do was watching the castle disappear from his eyesight.
