　　老舍（1899—1966）

　　中国现当代作家、人民艺术家，杰出的语言大师。原名舒庆春，字舍予，北京人。1924年应聘到英国伦敦大学东方学院当中文讲师。在英期间开始文学创作，写下三部长篇讽刺小说。1930年老舍回国后，先后在齐鲁大学和山东大学任教授。在抗日战争期间（1937—1945），他坚持写作，在重庆成立了中华全国文艺界抗敌协会。之后应邀赴美国讲学，旅居美国从事创作。1949年回到中国，曾任中国文联副主席、中国作家协会副主席等职。

　　老舍生前创作了多部文学作品，包括最出名的长篇小说《二马》、《猫城记》、《离婚》、《骆驼祥子》、《四世同堂》、话剧《龙须沟》、《茶馆》等，深受广大人民的喜爱。他在中国享有盛名，被授予“人民艺术家”的称号。
