Running MPI
This radio box activates whether the MPI (Message Passing Interface) functionality is activated or not. By clicking on the button next to the MPI Selection, the user will see the MPI Environment window. This allows the user to specify the computers used to solve the problem as well as the number of processors used on each computer. It is very important the care is performed in this in that incorrect specification will cause DEFORM to fail.
Email the Result
This function allows DEFORM to send an e-mail notification of the completion of a simulation. If Yes is selected, the e-mail address to send to is required as well as the name of the company SMTP mail server.
Starting the simulation
The simulation is started by clicking the Simulation, Start button. This initiates a series of operations to run the simulation and generate new meshes as necessary.
Run-time information will be written to the ProblemId.MSG and ProblemId.LOG files.
1.  Execution information, including convergence information for each step and simulation error messages, can be found in the .MSG file.
2.  Information on simulation and remeshing, execution times, and fatal errors can be found in the .LOG file or in the command window where DEFORM was executed from.
