选solving 还是 to solve？

另外我觉得原句好象应该是用LOOK UP 这个词组
少了个UP

try to do要/想做某事=want to do sth
try doing sth 试着做某事尝试做, 一种方法不行，再用另外的方法。

选to solve，因为在高级语法中，不定式结构具有未完成性和将来性的特点．
比方说：be about to do sth.
help sb. to do sth.等等
