As an important 3G standard, cdma2000 provides multi- business, multi- velocity and high quality service,therefore bringing up higher requirement to channel encoding and the traditional channel code can no longer satisfy new requirement.Turbo code is a kind of channel code whose quality approaches shannon limit. although it is more complex than traditional recurrent code and it has bigger decoding delay，it has extraordinary potential applications because of its outstanding quality at low SNR( for instance：wireless channel). so cdma2000 adopts Turbo code as high-speed data channel error correction coding mode and Turbo code has become one of its critical technologies.
Turbo code application in wireless mobile communication system is present study hotspot. furthermore，Turbo code is also applied in aspects such as text transfers and data storage,etc.
