My Day
While Cindy was at the doctor’s yesterday morning, I was doing my English homework. Then I did some reading, while Cindy was visiting her aunt in hospital. At noon, I stopped reading books and Cindy invited me to have lunch with her in Caihua Street. At about 2 o’clock, we said goodbye to each other. While she was having her art class, I went to swim with my cousin. And in the evening, I had a great experience. While Cindy was going shopping, I met an old man with a little parrot. I saw the parrot counting the numbers. You can imagine how smart it was!

In ten years …
In ten years, I think I will still be a student. I will probably go to some other cities and even a foreign country for my further study. Learning the things I don’t know is really interesting. I am going to have a cute cat with me because I don’t like living alone. And in my leisure time, I am going to get a part–time job. It is very important for me to know what I can’t learn from books. And I can have some money by this way. Then I am going to invite my family to travel with me. On weekends, I will ask my good friends to swim with me. When I become an adult, I will wear the clothes which I like very much. Maybe I will be a girl with pretty long hair.
I hope my predictions will come true.

My Dream
I really want to become an English teacher in the future. Because I love English best, and I also love school very much. There are a lot of lovely students in the school. I am very sure that I will get on well with all of my students. And I can be friendly to other teachers in the school. I want to try my best to teach all the students well. And I can take care of my students. I enjoy staying with lovely children. In my free time, I will do some exercise with them to keep healthy. If they want to tell me about their own secrets, I believe that I am their best listener.
From now on, I must study harder and harder. And I will try to realize my dream.

A Fishy Story
Two avid fishermen go on a fishing trip. They rent all the equipment: the reels, the rods, the wading suits, the rowboat, the car, and even a cabin in the woods. They spend a fortune.

The first day they go fishing, but they don't catch anything. The same thing happens on the second day, and on the third day. It goes on like this until finally, on the last day of their vacation, one of the men catches a fish.

As they're driving home they're really depressed. One guy turns to the other and says, "Do you realize that this one lousy fish we caught cost us fifteen hundred dollars?"

The other guy says, "Wow! It's a good thing we didn't catch any more!"

Change for award
A lady lost her handbag in the bustle of Christmas shopping. It was found by an honest little boy and returned to her.

Looking in her purse, she commented, "Hmmm.... That's funny. When I lost my bag there was a $20 bill in it. Now there are twenty $1 bills."

The boy quickly replied, "That's right, lady. The last time I found a lady's purse, she didn't have any change for award."

Late for work

Tom had this problem of getting up late in the morning and was always late for work. His boss was mad at him and threatened to fire him if he didn't do something about it. So Tom went to his doctor who gave him a pill and told him to take it before he went to bed.

Tom slept well and in fact beat the alarm in the morning. He had a leisurely breakfast and drove cheerfully to work. "Boss," he said, "The pill actually worked!"

"That's all fine" said the boss. "But where were you yesterday?"
