A sea of flames taints the sky.
The cause and the target both
Dance the dance of pain within.
They have to ask, "why, but why?"
To some, it's a laugh, just a joke.
To others it's only a distant thought.
To others still it's a beast, still stalking.
But they all ask, "why, but why?"
Objects are its sad harbringing
Death is its Vicious call
Its self is all that can follow
Yet all these must ask, "why, but why?"
What struggles must be worth a life?
How many are enough to call it to an end?
How long before the next one arises?
How many must ask, "why, but why?"
Is it an art, is it mindless, is it destroyable?
It's not something easily answered
War itself can answer, "why, but why?"
But will it?

火焰之海感染了天空
意图和目标随之舞动
充满伤痛的舞动
他们不禁要问：“为什么？到底为了什么？”
对于某些人，那只是个笑谈

而有些人，那却是兽性，近在咫尺
可是他们都问：“为什么？到底为了什么？”
目标是它哀愁的海港
死亡是它邪恶的呼唤
它自己则是可以追随的一切
可所有的人仍得问：“为什么？到底为了什么？”
怎样的斗争竟要付出一个生命？
而多少生命才足以让冲突结束？
而下一次战争又要多久再来？
太多人必需得问：“为什么？到底为了什么？”
它是艺术？没有意识？还是具有破坏性？
这不是一个容易回答的问题
或许战争本身能够回答：“为什么？到底为了什么？”
可是，它会吗？
