这是我的一片演讲稿,3分钟左右
On Confidence
Stepping on to the platform, my memory flashes back rapidly to 5 years ago, when I entered for an English speech contest for the first time. I would give a prepared speech. For it was my first time to enter for such a contest, so I prepared for it for a long time. But being a novice, I was so nervous that when I was giving my speech, I forgot what to say in the middle. I tried myself to think of it, but I failed. And I had to rush to the end of my speech. This time I got the last place.
I remember clearly than 1 year later, my English teacher asked me to enter for another English speech contest. I was very surprised and didn't understand why the teacher chose me. I said,"Sorry, madam. I did not do well last time. I must fail this time, too!"
"It's Ok.I think you can do very well!"My teacher encouraged me,"You have a lot of advantages for speech."
"Really?"I didn't believe.
"Yes! Just say 'I can do it' to yourself, and you will come out the best!"
"I can do my best!" I shouted out excitedly.
Then, I began to prepare for my speech. When I went back to the platform, I told myself,"Don't be nervous. You can do your best!" Then, I felt that I was full of confidence and energy. This time I comletely freed myself and I talked fluently and humourously. At last, I got the first prize!
From that time, I discoverd that the power of confidence is so beautiful and strong.
That was 4 years ago. And 4 years later, I am standing here and dilivering my speech, my dear audience, with the basic faith in our lives--confidence--trust ourselves, try our best.
It is always my believe that everytime if you can be confident and always keep your courage, you must succeed! Please take this as your motto,"Fortune only helps the man who is full of confidence!"
