Every country has its culture , so does China. China has a long history, so it has some traditional festivals.
The most important festival in China is the Spring Festival. During the festival, the families get together and have the reunion dinner . We wear new clothes and watch the activities. The children often set off firecrackers. The Spring Festival marks the first day of a Chinese new year, people greet each other when they meet. Even though the weather is very cold, the streets and families are lively. By eating the Spring Festival foods, people wish for health and union.
People wish for happiness and it is the reason why we celebrate the festival.

Among all kinds of the festivals, I like the Spring Festival most, because in the Spring Festival we can play games and eat a lot of delicious food. I always enjoy myself in the Spring Festival.
On the Chinese New Year’s Eve, I can enjoy a large meal with my family in the morning. Then we can dress up in new clothes . During the night we play fireworks to wait for the coming of the New Year’s Day. Then the next day , the Chinese New Year’s Day, family get together to celebrate the festival. From the New Year’s Day to the Lantern Festival,I celebrate the festival with my family all the time.
I like the Spring Festival.

The Spring Festival is a traditional festival in China. Eveyone celebrates the happy days by wearing new clothes and eating all kinds of tasty foods. In the Spring Festival family members get together ,talking about the things they experienced and the harvests they got in last year. Sons and daughters, as well as grandchildren should do most of the housework. Laugh is shown on everyone’s face. During the Spring Festival, we can do what we want to do.
Last year, I spent the Spring Festival in my grandparents’ home. The evening was the happiest time during the whole day, we watched the TV, played cards and set off the fireworks. when the beautiful flowers came out in the sky, we suddenly knew that the new year had been coming. The sky was so beautiful, red, yellow, green, etc. all kinds of the colours were painted to decorate the night. The fireworks can show their beauties. we must realize that we should do something ,too.

The Spring Festival is the most important festival in China. I had a good time in the Spring Festival of 2006.
On that day, I got up early. My relatives all came to my home. We shook hands to express the New Year’s greeting. Then we had a special meal which contained dumplings, hot pot, spring roll, egg cakes and so on. When the night had been coming, we children set off fireworks.We spent the night by dancing, singing and watching TV.I waited for the ringing of the New year.I didn’t feel tired and was very happy.

I rushed out of the house when the clock struck 0.I , set off a few fireworks, laughing and dancing like a child. The new year was coming.
The Spring Festival is the most important traditional festival in our country. We wear our new clothes and shoes to greet the new year and see the last one off. Even though it snowed heavily that day, my families gathered happily to enjoy a large meal and played cards. After dinner, my parents gave me several books written by foreigners. I value them very much. To my delight, my pet dog gave birth to three baby dogs, the only one of which has a few white hairs on its head was so lovely. I gave them some milk and meat to celebrate their birth and the New Year’s day.
My family with three people in it lost ourselves in the happiness of festival.

The happiest time of a year is the spring Festival, because I could be free from study. The first week of the winter holidays I slept every day. I was too tired to do anything. After that I watched TV day and night. Of course, my mother took me to my relatives’ home. I enjoyed a large meal. It was much more delicious than in school.
But the most unlucky day of a year was also in the Spring Festival. That day when I got up, I found that the time was early. So I went out and into a computer room. I was so happy to play computer games that I forgot the time. At last, I was found by my father .He taught me a lesson in a high voice. I was ashamed. From then on, I stayed at home every day.
So the festival was the most unforgettable time of a year for me.

The Spring Festival that is the same as Christmas and Ramadan is an important holiday in the world which comes from February.
On the New Year’s Eve, people are often in preparation for a big dinner celebrating the new year and get together. At that time, all the people lose themselves to the happiness.
The reason why many children like the festival is that they will have many toys and new clothes, but I don’t think so.
As a result of the study which is nervous and hard, I always don’t have a good rest time. During the festival I can sleep all day so that I will have enough energy to study next term. It also has a good time to watch TV.
I find that the festival is an important time not only for adults but also for children.

For traditional China, the spring Festival is a time when we can wear new clothes and get some money from elders as a New Year’s gift.
On New Year’s Eve, a fire will be built, people sit around the fire , talking and laughing before and after the counterdown to midnight, not only because it is warm to wait for the coming of the new year but also because the fire means wealth and health. The day after the New Year’ Eve is called ChuXi, as it is the first day of the new year, people will set off fireworks as soon as they get up. In this way they say goodbye to the old year and welcome the new year.

The Spring Festival is our Chinese traditional festival. It’s also called New Year. Often we celebrate it on the last day of one year. Last year, our family had a good time on the special day.
It was 31st December,2004,my parents got up very early, because they had to prepare a delicious meal. My brother set off fireworks outside, but I dressed up in front of the mirror to greet the New Year. Time flying, it was almost 3 p.m. My parents had already prepared a large meal which was served for Tangyuan. But we couldn’t eat at once, our parents must thank our ancients and good gods. We gave them much paper money and big fireworks to welcome them.
Then we enjoyed a large and delicious meal. At night, our family got together to watch TV by eating delicious food, such as apples, chocolates candy bars and so on.
The candy bars were sweet, but our hearts were more sweet and happy.

The Spring Festival which is similar to Christmas, MardiGras and Ramadan is not only famous but also around the world. It’s celebrated in February 8th this year in China.
Chinese will go shopping to be ready for the festival before the Spring Festival coming. During the Spring Festival, people usually dress up in new clothes in order to have a new face in the next year. It is important for us to honour our ancestors and say happy new year to others. people who is far away from their home will try to go back home to gather and enjoy a large meal and celebrate the new year with their families. In other words, Chinese value the festival very much. Children are very happy because they can receive gifts from parents and relatives.
The Spring Festival gave me an occasion to understand myself and our culture better. What a rich and colourful festival it is!

The first day of a new year is a special day and the first meal is rather important. The reason is that the Spring Festival comes. During the festival, we have much food to eat. We can play cards and watch TV. What children love most is to set off fireworks.
However, as the life pace is becoming faster and faster, people have taken up new ways to celebrate it. For example, they use telephones or e-mails.
