我是一楼，我说的只能用单数是局限在There is going to be这一点说得，不能用There are going to be.

至于通常的There be，表示“有”的意思，当然单复都可以啦

如：There is an apple.
There are some apples.

同样是A. is going to be
不过，楼上的说”There be句型，只能用单数”，这个好象不太准确吧．
若为现在时就得用There _are__ two important meetings next week
