If you are referring to Bachelor of Business Administration degree, then I think I know something about BBA.

In the United States, this degree is best used when you combine it with an MBA program. However, the best MBA programs generally acquire you to have 3 to 5 years of full-time professional work experience.

This creates a problem. Say, if you do your BBA in an average college and you successfully finish your degree. However, all you got is this degree with some part-time work experience and you want to go to one of the nation's best MBA programs, those Ivy-League ones. They all need you to have full-time work experience, which you don't possess. And you don't want to continue to get your MBA degree in any average grad school.

At this point what you can only do is to stop your academic pursuit and go to work. Another problem appears quickly here. If you only have a BBA and want to go into company's management level, it's really hard to make this happen. Management level is the core and most prestigious function within a company. What they need is someone with work experience or an MBA(sometimes an MBA from "one of the best schools" ensures the hiring company that the candidates have necessary skills and experiences). So now you can't go into management, and you don't know anything about other business functions or areas. You are basically stuck.

My suggestion is that you take something technical during college, something like accounting or finance, even marketing is a lot better than plain management. And then go to work for a few years, find a company that sponsor your tuition, go get your MBA.

This is the best way to do. Or some schools may have BBA-MBA 5-year programs. You can do that also. This kind of program usually has a separate system to help graduates to find work.
