Yesterday was January the 2nd. For me, it was a rather exciting day. Like always, I woke up at 6.30. After a brief wash up, my parents came in to greet me happy birthday. My father gave me a dictionary while my mother gave me a pair of runners. In the evening, we had a little party, after which we had noodles. The reason to why we ate noodles rather than cake is because noodles in China means longevity.
