Program Schedule for NHK World TV With the launch of the 24-hour international TV service, nearly all the news programs on General TV on the domestic network will be broadcast on NHK World TV almost simultaneously in the latter half of the 1999 broadcast year, with the goal of updating overseas listeners with accurate and prompt knowledge about what's happening in Japan and elsewhere. Furthermore, the new programming will include a lot of NHK's regional programs, along with sports programs such as professional baseball games and J-League football matches over the weekend.
