left,即是leave，它有几种意思：

2. 离开(某人)的身边;遗弃,离弃

8. 死后留下(家人等)
He left a wife and five children.

I felt I had little energy left.

11. (从某个方位)经过
Leave the monument on the right and cross the bridge.

1. 离去;动身[(+for)]
We will leave for London next week.
我们下周动身去伦敦。
而 D项 ramained ，一来这一选项应该是remained，二来它是不及物动词。这句要求的是一个及物动词。
