这是我最喜欢的非古典音乐。不过翻译似乎太无艺术性？

暂且不说艺术性，这个译文的准确性也是很差的。

“The time I knew what happiness was过去的幸福时光”这一句改动了原文的意思。原文直译来讲应该是“那段我懂得什么叫做幸福的时光”，而不是简单的“过去的幸福时光”，做一些修饰后讲做“那段我深知幸福的含义的时光”可能比较好。

“I must think of a new life我必须思考新的生活”。显而易见，“think of” 是“考虑，有所打算”的意思，而不是“思考”。原文意思应该是“我必须开始新的生活”。

“And I mustn’t give in我不能退缩”。“give in”是“屈服，让步”的意思，而没有“退缩”的意思，两者看上去似乎比较接近，但是有差别。这里显然前者更好，更准确。

“It’s so easy to leave me留我一人容易”这句简直滑稽至极。初中生都应该知道“leave me”在后面不跟宾语补足语时应该是“离开我，抛弃我”的意思，这里将“leave”译做“留下”实在是太低级的错误。

再说一些这个译文中间过于省略之处——“Has the moon lost her memory月亮失去回忆了吗”“She is smilling alone只在独自微笑”“Tonight will be a memory too夜晚将成为回忆”“If you touch me如果触摸我”分别省略了“her”“She”“too”“ you”的翻译，这样的简略也损害了意思的表达。反过来“All alone with my memory面对回忆 /Of my days in the sun那段阳光下的日子 ”中间省略“my”就显得十分自然，符合表达习惯。

另外，其中许多词句译得也不够好，比如“Touch me触摸我”读来就很别扭，翻译做“拥抱”可能更妥帖。

关于版本，有很多，我比较喜欢的是Elaine Paige首唱时的版本，其中歌词有些许与这个不同。有一点很有意思“And the wind begins to moan”这一句中的“moan”在有些版本中是“mourn”，不知各位喜欢哪个？另外“Seems the best a fatalistic warning”我觉得难以理解，我看到的是“Seems to beat a...”。到底是版本问题，还是有所错误？

应该是moan，“风开始悲叹”。而mourn过重于表示心情的悲伤。

另外这个译文还不太押韵。

要压韵的译文， 只能意译， 用上中国的文学手法， 用4字词等， 才有用， 直译过来哪能压韵？

是的，这不是为用中文演唱的译配，只能算是大意的翻译，译文来自DVD中文字幕。

为什么把句子拆开来翻译啊？？？一个句子应该放在一起翻译嘛。

And I have to swear "What the @＃$@% did u translate?" Look at this sentance

Seems the best象是 〈-----------此句应是 seems to beat

A fatalistic warning宿命的警讯

Someone mutters某人喃喃低语

And a streetlamp gutters街灯成排”

个人认为这段应该翻译如下：

每盏路灯， 像是闪烁着宿命的警告。

路人在低语， 一盏路灯奄奄一“熄”。

（注： BEAT虽然没有“闪烁”的意思， 但作为意译， 应该为闪烁， 如果是发声物体， 就应该译作“敲着”； gutter一词作为名词才有“排”这个字眼， 但也是“排水沟”等， 做为动词， 是指灯光闪烁不定， 快要熄灭的意思， 尤指蜡烛光。此处用gutter一词， 我估计目的是说清晨将至， 路灯也完成了它的使命， 随着晨光的到来而熄灭）

剩下的翻译， 我就不说了， 重新琢磨一下吧。

说得很好，我在写的时候也记得是"a streetlamp gutters"但是看到memory兄的版本时，觉得"a streetlamp gutter"也讲得通，意即一排路灯，只是因为没有现成的歌词，拿不准就照着上面写了下来。经过您的提醒，发现的确讲做gutters更好，否则与前面的"someone mutters"不平衡。

我很喜欢这首曲子，虽然它属于通俗音乐的范畴，但那明朗的旋律深深地打动了我，尤其是史翠珊的深情演绎，感觉到一种叫做永恒的主题，超越了爱情，渗入了心灵！

尤其是傍晚时分，用钢琴演绎这首曲子时，你会发现你的心已经完全沉浸了，世间再美好的事也不过如此了！
